By admin
February 6, 2011

IMPORTANT UPDATE – We are now no longer accepting any more participants for the The Sleep Walk on behalf of Rowcroft Hospice. We have successfully filled our 1,800 allocated spots. Rowcroft appreciate and would like to thank all persons participating in this event. More details of the sleep walk can be found by visiting http://www.rowcroftsleepwalk.org.uk/

The Sleep Walk is Rowcroft Hospice’s brand new night walk event for the ladies of South Devon! Prepare yourself for a new challenge that is focused on being local, being fun but most importantly raising oodles of money for Rowcroft Hospice (all whilst wearing your pyjamas!).

Rowcroft Hospice is proud to be planning this fantastic local fundraising event to raise the money needed to continue providing its specialist care. Rowcroft cares for over one thousand people a year who have life-limiting illnesses, and their families. The hospice is a local, independent charity providing a service to South Devon that is made possible by the amazing fundraising efforts of the community.

The Sleep Walk is a sponsored night walk open to all ladies aged 12 and over. We want to see generations of families, gaggles of girls and entire female workforces pulling on their PJ’s and sleep walking the streets of South Devon. You can choose to finish at five miles or totter ten miles, starting at finishing at Occombe Farm and even taking in the caves at Kents Cavern.

We want you all to pull on your PJ’s and pound the pavements for Rowcroft Hospice and sign up now! Places are filling extremely quickly, so visit our dedicated website for more information and sign up online.

We are also recruiting for Barbara’s Army. We need over 100 volunteers to help on the night, tea makers to marshals, admin help to medal-givers, we need you! If you are interested in helping on the night, or even in the run up the event go to http://www.rowcroftsleepwalk.org.uk/help-needed.html and get in touch.

Volunteers are massively important to Rowcroft Hospice, so we promise to look after you very well with food, snacks drinks and general loveliness as our way of saying thank you!
