James Morrison will embark on a 12-date UK tour for March/April 2009 following a sell out for the shows he’s due to do in November this year.
Meanwhile James plans to release the second single Broken Strings, a belter of a duet with Canadian superstar songstress Nelly Furtado, taken from his new album Songs For You, Truths For Me. Songs For You… debuted at #3 when it was released on 29th September and has sold over 200,000 in just a few weeks. His first single from the new album You Make It Real is still in the UK Singles charts top twenty.
James’ last album (also his debut) Undiscovered went straight in at Number 1 in the UK album chart in July 2006 and went on to sell over two million copies worldwide, making it one the biggest debut albums of that year. This was an awesome feat for a then unknown 21-year-old singer-songwriter from Derby. He’s since toured with Corinne Bailey-Rae and John Mayer.
