Paul Zerdin SPONGE FEST

With more than 3 million hits on YouTube and guest appearances on Comedy Rocks and the Royal Variety Performance, Paul Zerdin is, without doubt, one of the most talented ventriloquists in the world.  Following 2 sold-out years at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Zerdin embarked on his first UK tour in 2010 and this year sees him return to the live arena taking SPONGE FEST to previously uncharted venues.  With 13 dates lined up for August in holiday towns ,   Paul will also be doing 30 dates in the Autumn, gathering more fans along the way. 

With his fresh twist on this traditional comedy art, Paul Zerdin is constantly breaking new ground in his shows which seamlessly blur performance with reality.   Zerdin uses his ventriloquism skills to such effect that his audience play an integral part in the show, working alongside his puppet characters – the pre-pubescent, cheeky Sam, the belligerent OAP Albert and the precocious infant Baby.    The first ventriloquist to ever headline the Comedy Store, Paul Zerdin honed his skills from his teens, studying a book written by the late Ray Alan and working with The Jim Henson Company on the movie Muppet Treasure Island.
