Tea at 3!

Summer is nearly here! And that means that it’s almost time for Rowcroft’s most established and delicious event – Tea at 3.
 
After her star turn in Strictly Come Dancing last year, Ann Widdecombe is backing our tasty campaign in 2011, so please do join in! She’s suggested taking your party one step further and having a tea dance! Ann said that she is “delighted to support the wonderfully worthwhile fundraising campaign in aid of Rowcroft, and I hope that you will all enjoy your Tea Dance as much as I enjoyed my participation in Strictly Come Dancing.”
 
So we’re asking you to bring out your best china once more, and join us in celebrating those traditional British summers with a tea dance – enjoy a waltz, the Charleston, Gay Gordons or a quickstep – or if a dance is not your thing then throw a tea party instead! Bake your best classic cake, whether this is a Victoria Sponge, Lemon Drizzle, Chelsea Bun or a good old Scone!
 
Tea at 3 takes place from 23rd – 31st July, so pick a date that’s best for you and invite all your friends! You can hold your tea party at home, in your garden, in a café, at work, anywhere! Just make sure that people make a donation to your local hospice for their cuppas or cakes. Tea at 3 not only helps us to raise valuable funds, it also raises awareness of the hospice.
